About Us
Having been obsessed with colour from an early age, it comes as no surprise that I trained and qualified as a Colour Consultant and Beautician in London over 15 years ago. An active member of the Association of Image Consultants, I have now been running Altered Image for 7 years.
The driving force behind the business is my unwavering passion for making people feel good about themselves. I have lived through the zero confidence days of teenage years feeling unattractive and overweight, and suffered from body dysmorphia and post natal depression, so I understand the issues so many of us face. Having found counselling of huge benefit on a personal level, I decided to embark on a counselling course before I set up the business and these skills have proven to be useful time and time again. All these factors combine to offer clients a dedicated and holistic approach as there are so many elements to our lives and each one needs equal focus.
For me, the breakthrough came when I finally accepted that I was never going to be a size 8, then wore the colours and clothes that were right for my shape and the new and the true Nancy was born. I’ve never looked back and never been more content.
It is the determination to help people to feel happy and confident which drives me to ensure you leave an Altered Image experience with a spring in your step and new-found self belief. Once you learn the basics of colours, what to wear and how to wear it, there will be no stopping you!
The biggest compliment I receive is when people say to their friends – “you’ve just got to be Nancy’d!”
